The New Regulatory and Tax Regime for Hedge Funds in GermanyContribution of German TLS-experts regarding the following subject: The German government recently published a draft bill on the first time regulation of domestic hedge funds, the distribution of foreign hedge funds in Germany and the taxation of hedge fund investors. The draft rules bring about significant changes, providing the opportunity for foreign hedge fund products to enter the German retail and institutional market. Tax efficiency of the fund product is possible and will be a decisive factor for success in the German market. This applies to private and institutional investors alike.
