Maternal Mortality in the United States: A Literature Review

The purpose of this report is to review past studies on maternal mortality levels, trends, and differentials in the US in a context of rising rates and a recent change in data collection. A secondary goal is to identify remaining gaps in knowledge and the statistical information available for their investigation.
